Assurant Solutions appoints 2 new Account Development Managers

Assurant Solutions - a specialist in creating, underwriting and administering niche insurance protection products - has appointed Gerry Kavanagh and David Keeley as Account Development Managers for the Irish League of Credit Unions (ILCU) account.

Both Gerry and David will support the Client Relationship Management Team in developing and supporting the evolution of the product portfolio for the Irish League of Credit Unions (ILCU) account.

Gerry brings a wealth of relationship management and business development experience gained in a number of industries within Ireland over the last twenty-five years. He joins Assurant Solutions from Top Security, where he held the role of Senior Relationship Management Consultant for 2 years. Prior to that, Gerry worked as a Business Development Manager for On line digital print. He held the role of Government Account Relationship Manager with N.R.G. Limited for five years before joining On line digital print, and prior to that he held the position of Business Manager with United Drug Plc for 3 years.

Gerry holds a Diploma in Business Management and Human Resources from the National College of Ireland and a Certificate in Marketing from the College of Marketing & Design in Dublin.

A Chartered Insurer, David joins Assurant Solutions with a strong background in operations, having spent almost ten years in a number of roles. Prior to taking up this new position, he held the role of Financial Claims Supervisor for 8 years at Assurant Services Ireland Limited, an affiliate of Assurant Solutions. He worked as a Team Leader – Collections with GE Capital for 1 year before joining Assurant Services Ireland Limited and as Insurance Clerk with O’Sullivan Insurances in Tipperary.

Assurant Solutions in Ireland is supported by a service centre in Cork operated by an affiliate, Assurant Services Ireland Ltd.  Established in 1999 as a claims processing centre for U.S. operations, the centre currently employs about 70 people. 

Assurant Solutions specialises in creating insurance products including payment protection insurance, warranty and service contracts, and credit card price and purchase protection.  The business works with financial institutions, intermediaries, brokers and high street and home shopping retailers to design, develop, underwrite, administer and market these niche insurance lines.
