Assurant Solutions Names Christopher Reznyk to Head Preneed Funeral Insurance

Corporate Realignment Adds New Business to Company's Portfolio

ATLANTA: Assurant Solutions, a leading provider of specialty insurance and extended service contracts, announced the promotion of Christopher "Chris" Reznyk of Weston, Fla. to senior vice president and his appointment as leader of Preneed, a pre-funded funeral insurance business segment.

On Nov. 14, 2005, Assurant, Inc., announced that it was realigning its Preneed business under its Assurant Solutions business segment. The operations to be moved under Solutions include Preneed's Rapid City, S.D. operation, its Canadian Preneed business and certain support functions located in Atlanta.

Through its Rapid City, S.D.-based operation, Assurant provides insurance products and support services for the pre-need activities of Service Corporation International (SCI), the largest funeral provider in North America, based on total revenues. Assurant said the realignment would enable the Preneed business to leverage Assurant Solutions' expertise in developing and managing its distribution partnership with SCI. The company also believes its Preneed business will benefit from Solutions' focus on international expansion

Reznyk has served as vice president and national client relationship manager for the Diversified Financial Services business since September 1999. In that role, he was responsible for both maintaining and growing Assurant Solutions' largest client relationships in the financial services industry, including several leading banks and credit card companies.

Reznyk came to Assurant from JP Morgan Chase, where he was vice president, credit insurance products, in the Chase Insurance division. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Princeton University.
