The Assurant Solutions companies serving Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands have more than 15 years experience in developing, underwriting, marketing and administering credit insurance programs offered in connection with credit card accounts, installment loans, lines of credit and residential mortgages.

Credit insurance pays off the outstanding balance on a loan or line of credit in the event of the insured's death. In addition, when the insured is temporarily disabled due to illness or injury or involuntarily loses his/her job, the insurance makes monthly loan payments until the insured returns to work.

Credit protection programs are offered through financial institutions, retailers and others who make loans and extend credit to their customers.
