Assurant Solutions Appoints European Compliance Officer

Assurant Solutions has today announced the appointment of Samantha Ross as European Compliance Officer. She will be based in the European headquarters in Windsor.

Samantha will lead the European compliance function and advise the Board on regulatory matters across the region. She will be responsible for regulatory oversight of the business's operations in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain and Germany. This will include directing the development and implementation of compliant processes and procedures, and ensuring that all areas of Assurant Solutions European organisations meet the regulatory requirements in their respective countries.

Samantha joins Assurant Solutions from Mercer where she spent the past two years as regulatory co-ordinator for Europe, although her role encompassed the entire EMEA region. Prior to that, Samantha was an insurance supervisor for retail firms at the Financial Services Authority for two and a half years. Before joining the FSA, Samantha spent four years at PWC working out of London and Sydney, Australia.
